Houston Symphony Ball Kick-Off
The Houston Symphony geared up for its 2010 “Music Matters” Ball with a kick-off event at Jones Hall. Chairing the ball are Margaret Alkek Williams and Kelli and Martin Fein. Honorees are Fidelity Investments, Aileen B. Gordon and Cora Sue Mach. Sharin Gaille and Nancy Littlejohn.

 Cardiovascular diseases, including stroke, are our nation's number one killer. Since 1963, in an effort to urge Americans to join the battle against these diseases, Congress has required the president to proclaim February as “American Heart Month.” The American Heart Association (AHA) works with the administration to draft and sign this annual proclamation. During American Heart Month, thousands of volunteers, AHA staff members and local communities band together to increase awareness, prevention and raise funds to fight heart disease and stroke.
