Q:  How does eating healthy and exercising impact my health?

A: With proper exercise and nutrition, you can control, manage or completely avoid 60-70% of illnesses such as: heart disease, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, diabetes, obesity, high cholesterol, colon cancer, breast cancer, stroke, heart attack, arthritis, etc.  Working out improves your confidence and self-esteem. It aids you in getting better sleep and giving you more energy and stamina throughout the day. Exercising slows down the aging process, improves sexual performance and restores libido. Last but not least, a healthy lifestyle builds and maintains healthy bones, muscles and joints while simultaneously increasing your immune system.

Q: How is my social life affecting my health?

A: Being healthy isn’t just a lack of illness, it’s a positive balance between body, mind and soul. In order for your social life to affect your life in a positive way, you need to create a healthy environment to socialize in. Socialize in a physically friendly a environment with walks in the park, meeting in an exercise facility for a class, biking, hiking, volleyball or tennis. Surround yourself with people who believe in healthy lifestyle and encourage your friends to join you. If you need to meet in a restaurant or a bar, choose healthy foods and low calorie drinks to stay on track.

role-models

It takes so much more than the hours spent at the gym, or even the strictest eating plans and nutrition science to have what it takes to be a swimsuit model.  It takes a special kind of mental “switch” to ignite the motivation to put on a swimsuit year round, and keep pinnacle health to be in front of the camera.  We often view models as subjects of beauty or art, as if their purpose was to simply look good in photos, but the truth behind true fitness and beauty rests within one’s capacity to rewrite his or her own story as a true enthusiast.

hot-abs

Everyone wants to look their best in a swimsuit when summer gets here.  However, it’s the habits you practice the months leading up to summer that determine how you look when swimsuit season gets here.  Don’t fall under the impression you’ll have to spend hours in the gym each day to get a toned physique, that’s just not true.  What you look like is determined 80% by your nutrition.  I am walking proof.  I gained fifty pounds in college simply by eating fast food, drinking alcohol and a decreased activity level.  These factors caused my slender body to put on weight and my pant size increased from a size four to a fourteen.

sharing-pantry

It sounds so sweet – anything that’s shared.  And so often it really is. But some things can truly be shared only up to a point. Whatever is your fork – it’s all yours, baby. And you’ve gotta know what makes you run well.  That’s important if entering a triathlon is your dream.
